Our Story

OUR STORY

Mercy Care Elderly Home was born from a deeply personal experience. Our founder, Pamela, witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the elderly while caring for her beloved mother, Mrs. Watenyeli Florence. Mrs. Watenyeli struggled with heart failure, diabetes, and high blood pressure, conditions exacerbated by poverty and difficult living situations in Uganda. Pamela and her family searched for a safe, supportive, and affordable care environment for her mother, but found a critical lack of such services. This experience ignited a passion to create a place where elderly individuals could receive comprehensive care, dignity, and companionship.”

“The struggle to find qualified caregivers, and the realization that general caregiving is very different from elder care, solidified the need for trained, compassionate professionals dedicated to the elderly.
